Brief
History:
The Bhuj Rehabilitation Team is a blend of Rehabilitation Professionals
, who are working in different organizations but have joined hands to
work together for a global cause, i.e., to integrate the people with
disability back into the main stream so that they could contribute
towards their family, community and to the society at large. |

The Team
is Instrumental in Providing Rehabilitation services to all the EQ
paraplegics of Bhuj, Mandvi, Mundra, Nakhratana Taluka. The Team has
Identified 657 New cases from June 2002 to April 2003 with the help
of CBR workers& Referred then to appropriate services. Successfully
conducting the CBR training Program for last 11 Months. |

October 2002 Assessment clinic in KCRC . Govt. Doctors has issued
around 65 Disability Certificates to the PWD. 3rd May 2003,
Assessment clinic in Lodai. Govt. Doctors has issued 65 Disability
Certificates to the PWD. BRT has Referred 24 clients to Govt. Civil
Hospital, Bhuj & 16 clients of EQ Paraplegics to Dr. Rao Hospital
for Various complaints. |

Distribution of Govt. Pension Cheques to the EQ Paraplegics of
Kutch. Being a Faculty in PHC/CHC Doctors Training. Being a Faculty
in Viklang Bhandu Training. Initial Evaluation, Therapy
Implementation, in Dr. Shantuben Hospital, for last 11 months. |
